Metal Sonic/Sonic/Metal Knuckles Boss: Death Egg Zone has a new act, with a custom rendition of my favorite boss fight from Sonic CD! Race against Metal Sonic and get to the end before the laser takes you out! Or if your playing as Metal Sonic, beat Sonic to the finish before his spin jumps can wear you out!.I think they’re a lot of fun, I hope you’ll like them too ^w^ Layout:You can choose between the original Sonic 2 layouts, or new custom layouts that were made with exploration and Time Travel in mind! The new layouts have large, vertically oriented levels full of secrets and time travel oriented areas like in Sonic CD! They’re also better made to work with the S3K or Custom shield options, if you choose to try those out.Items: You can opt to use the shields from Sonic 3 and Knuckles instead of the Sonic 2 Shields! And you can even use 3 brand new, never before seen custom shields as an option as well! They function like the S3K shields but have unique effects and abilities! You can also make all items random like they are in 2 player mode, or make only shields randomized the latter 2 options allow you to obtain both the S3K and Custom Shields in one game, letting you try them all out at once!.
Camera:Sonic CDs’ camera can be enabled or disabled, letting you enjoy the extra camera distance provided by Sonic CDs’ camera system if you prefer that.Sound Options:You can choose to use the jump and roll SFX from Sonic CD, or the classic ones used by Sonic 2! And you can choose from multiple music playlists, letting you use different music, from custom music and remixes made by generous people, or songs from other games like Knuckles Chaotix! You can also opt to turn off music and/or SFX if you just want to enjoy the music, hear the SFX without music, or just prefer the sound of silence uwu.Characters:You can play as Knuckles, Metal Sonic, and Amy as well as Sonic and Tails! Some characters can also have their artwork, palettes, and/or movesets modified by the Character Style option, which lets you play as Sonic CD or Sonic 3 styled Sonic!.Or you can disable Time Travel altogther and just enjoy all the other options, as if it was just regular Sonic 2 without time travel! I won’t judge :3 You can also skip straight to the past, bad future, or good future at the title screen, by holding down A, B, or C respectively. Collecting a Time Stone in a Good Future makes you turn super, and freezes the in game timer! There are also options to choose different methods of time travel that make it easier and more convienent, like replacing Time Posts with time travel monitors, or disabling the cutscene that appears while time traveling. Badnik Generators can be broken in the past to make Good Futures, and Time Stones can be collected in the future. Time Travel: Time Posts from Sonic CD can be found around levels, and work as you’d expect them too.
